Kennedy's biweekly live press conferences. 1961, when giants did debates whose preparation included hundreds of pages of facts and opinions, briefings with advisors and a president who could read 1200 words per minute. The reporters, millions of them were only red in tooth and claw, practically harmless. At the end, they asked the president why he loved being president.
